Barry Newton, President
Barry Newton is owner and director of Newton Marketing & Research and held a similar position at a state newspaper association for 11 years. He has served as marketing director of a retail chain of fast food/dairy stores, account representative at an advertising agency and sales representative for a daily newspaper.
He has served as a member of the Curriculum Development Committee for the Oklahoma Vocational-Technical Education system and special instructor for the Small Business Management Division of the Oklahoma Career Techs. He is also active teaching advertising and business communications to small businesses through the Small Business Administration

Ernest F. Larkin, Ph.D., Research Consultant
Ernest F. Larkin, professor emeritus, taught graduate and undergraduate advertising and market research courses at the University of Oklahoma from 1970 through 1994. He has also taught journalism courses at Texas Christian University and at the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire.
He served as director of the Journalism Research Center at the University of Oklahoma and has been active in many scholastic organizations, consulting projects and research programs. His other activities include:
• Past-President of the American Academy of Advertising
• Collegiate representative on Higher Education and Research
to the International Newspaper Advertising and Marketing
Executive Association (INAME), now part of the Newspaper
Association of America
• Chairman of various committees for American Education
in Journalism and Mass Communications (AEJMC)
Research Members
Newton Research coordinates a professional staff of research assistants, field service supervisors, computer specialists and trained interviewers. Each member of the Research Team is dedicated to accuracy and truthfulness in every step of the research process.
